A VERY ACTIVE DOG
Usually when I find myself waking up at 5:30 in the morning it is because I am taking some photos of the sun rise or other event that can be transformed by the magical light available at that time of the morning. However, a couple of weeks ago I found myself waking up at that ungodly hour for an altogether different reason.
My friend Mandy came to visit me and my wife, Smudge, for a few days. I had promised that I would take some images of Lola, her dog, before she went. Well, needless to say that time flew by and before I knew it, it was time for Mandy and Lola to return home to Brisbane. A promise is a promise and so I could not let them go without taking some shots of Lola. As they were ment to be leaving at 9am an early start was required.
I am no expert of pet photography. This was very much a case of trial and error. No props or other special set up. Just me and my camera. Lola (being a dog) just would not stay still. She is still fairly young and very excitable. Getting a good focus with a shallow depth of field proved to be difficult but with a bit of persistence I managed to get a few good shots. Just a bit of fun but I am pleased with the results.
I would be interested to know what you think.
