Are you a gear junky like me? You have bought your cameras, lenses, lights, bags, filters and tripods and you think that there is still some spare change in your pocket for a little something extra, but you are just not sure what to get? Might I suggest you take a look at this new product from Satechi. It is called the BT Smart trigger and there are no prizes for guessing what it does. Yes, that's right, its a wireless trigger release, but this one is a little different from most of the ones out there already. It allows you, the photographer, to trigger your DSLR from up to 50 feet away by using your iPhone or other iOS device. It works with most DSLRs and makes use of Bluetooth 4.0
It is simple to operate which means that you can focus your attention on taking the photos and not the set up. The batteries are said to be able to last up to 10 years which I think might be stretching things a little, but however long they last it is safe to say it will be some time before you need to open up the battery compartment. It has three modes, these are Regular, Manual and Timed. Each mode will enable a different style of photography. However, probably the best thing about this device is the price. At $44.99 I think it is a bit of a bargin. This is just an introductory price so if you are interested I suggest you snap it up now, no pun intended.
